Many new projects

Margaritaville Island Reserve Resort Roatan On March 4, 2025, Margaritaville and Karisma Hotels & Resorts broke ground on this all-inclusive resort in Roatan. Scheduled to open in fall 2027, the resort will feature 170 guest rooms, multiple dining venues, and the region's first LandShark Brewery. The project is expected to create approximately 400 permanent jobs and an additional 400 indirect positions in the local economy.
Roatán Mega Hotel Complex: Italian architect Cesare Stefano Bernardinelli began constructing a mega hotel complex on Roatán Island in 2024. With an initial investment of approximately $250 million, this ambitious project aims to transform Roatán into a premier luxury destination over the next five to six years.

Próspera Charter City: Established on Roatán Island, the Próspera ZEDE (Zone for Employment and Economic Development) offers a unique governance model to attract international investors and tourists.
